Spirited & Richly Detailed Indian Wedding Ceremony of Pravin & Prithi

It started with an email from Prithi from Australia, asking about my services for her wedding in Singapore. Told her honestly that I have not shot Indian (Hindu) weddings before, yet she and Pravin placed their trust in me. All she asked was, if I can handle working in dark spaces.  Thank you for believing. Here, I hope I have captured your tradition faithfully (or more) and that I have not disappoint.

Weddings involve meeting of two families, with no exception here, with the parents & family of Pravin & Prithi very involved in the prayers and rites of marriage.

Its an explosion of colour and rich in details

I remembered telling Prithi & Pravin. There’s so much to absorb in real time, details in moments exchanged, in tradition, in the rites, to interpret them and to translate them into pictures, with the limited space and without imposing on the ceremony. I was on a high when the ceremony was over, like running a race, and I wanted more.
